outlook mac 2016 stuck in connecting status 20-30 minutes few times week. outlook , mac os both latest versions. owa , internet works fine. outlook on iphone works fine @ same time. @ same profile configured gmail account, can't send or receive emails. both exchange , gmail account starts working @ same time.

i’d share suggestions you:

  1. try creating new outlook mac profile see if there improvement.
  2. try switching different network environment , test again. example, if issue happens office network, can switch home network see if issue persists.

 

meanwhile, i’d collect more information better understand issue:

  1. the detailed version of outlook mac client.
  2. what if configure office 365 account on mac machine’s outlook mac client, same issue happen?
  3. the detailed steps of how set office 365 account outlook mac client.
