Outlook for Mac 2016 - Keeps asking for password - Microsoft Community

outlook periodically sends following message:

mail not sent. try re-entering password?

i have done following microsoft desk:

1. uninstalled , re-installed outlook application.

2. deleted keychain access entry related email account , re-entered password when prompted , checked remember password in keychain. in addition, confirmed password inputted in settings under tools, account under outlook.

3. created profile.

4. changed passwords

5. added new email account different server on outlook application.

result:

i keep getting message. regards item 5 above, message appeared @ different times both email accounts.

i not know how resolve annoying problem. contacted following:

1. isp - provides email server

they confirmed settings outgoing , incoming server correct.

therefore, told me microsoft application issue.

2. apple

they helped me remove entry related outlook application in keychain access. however, cannot provide support beyond microsoft application problem.

3. microsoft technical support

i have office 365 - , entitled technical support couldn't resolve issue. 

can please me annoying re-input password.

however, office 2016 mac updated on regular basis provide new features, security updates, , non-security updates.

regarding release notes , update history office 2016 mac. have official articles this, may keep eye on following articles below check further update.
