Import MS Word Headings into PowerPoint - Microsoft Community

i have ms word document contents page (and rest of the document) set using heading styles. have inserted 'send ms powerpoint' in quick access toolbar. opens powerpoint up, comes following error message:

"powerpoint can't read outline c:\users......rtf. no text converter is installed file type".

i have searched on net, cannot find solution.

it not online file. way approach in word document, clicking on 'send ms powerpoint' on quick access toolbar, , powerpoint opens above error message.

an additional problem experiencing in word, when click on 'send ms powerpoint', before automatically opens powerpoint following:

"we can't save file because read-only. keep changes need save document new name or in different location".

i assure not read-only, however, did try 'save as' in case...still doesn't work.

how feature work?? want take headings of 40-page document , put automatically convert them powerpoint not have type up. don't mind if have through ms word contents page or headings (linked contents page) throughout document.

any useful, have wasted enough time searching , need start long way of manually typing them in..

you should start using built in heading styles in word. of course, can customize styles need.  can import outline powerpoint
