Outlook.com account doesn't delete emails - Microsoft Community


just in past week or so, inbox in outlook.com (including in outlook 2016 app) restored my emails past several months, including thousands had deleted. have tried deleting them letting them go deleted folder , deleting them permanently directly inbox. in cases, the emails come back, , have 4,000+ emails can't rid of.

this happens both in outlook 2016 , on outlook.com site.

does have suggestions on serious problem?

to isolate issue, we'd clarify following information:

  • when had first encountered issue?
  • when trying delete email, have receiving error messages?

on other hand, can perform methods on how delete emails in outlook 2016 , check if issue persists.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
