configuring outlook 2016 to connect to existing hotmail email account - Microsoft Community


have hotmail email account. purchased outlook 2016. running window 7 professional. cannot figure out how set outlook 2016 connects hotmail email account. have tried following instructions here (https://www.lifewire.com/access-windows-live-with-outlook-1173660) had no luck.  what should do?

the instructions found old , no longer apply. windows live hotmail ceased exist in 2013 ...

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
