Android Outlook App "Authenticating with Outlook..." - Microsoft Community


new moto g5 handset.

installed outlook android app - enter hotmail.co.uk email address, recognised , continues next screen asking password.

if enter wrong password presents error saying assword incorrect - expected - good!

if enter correct passowrd message "authenticating outlook..." , spinning circle.

this stays until reboot phone or kill app.

i can log mailbox via hotmail.com using web browser on handset account working fine.

have tried uninstalling / reinstalling app several times on last few days - same symptoms each time.

phone on 4g network , connected home wifi with 60gb broadband connection. 

can help?

to troubleshoot issue setting hotmail account outlook android app, suggest clearing app's cache on phone. so, please refer these steps:

  1. go settings , apps.
  2. look outlook app.
  3. click storage.
  4. click clear cache button.

get result.
