I can't configure MS outlook for Mac - Microsoft Community


i have ms outlook mac (part of office 365).

i'm using outlook mac verizon.net email account, now.but, verizon discontinuing support email.

i have new email address: *** email address removed privacy ***.   <modified moderator due privacy>

i can send/receive email (with *** email address removed privacy *** email address) using outlook.com website. <modified moderator due privacy>

i can send/receive email (with *** email address removed privacy *** email address) using iphone. <modified moderator due privacy>

i cannot send/receive email (with *** email address removed privacy *** email address)  <modified moderator due privacy>using outlook mac.  try add new account , select outlook.  enter email address , password, click "add account".  attempts detect server responds "authentication failed. check account information , try again".

why happening/  ms outlook mac works great verizon email address.  in fact, can add google email address , worked great, too.

what doing wrong?
