Unfortunate behavior: Contacts "Display as" field with - Microsoft Community


hi community,

i just got migrated 'new' outlook mail based on exchange.. , part of changes recipient names not showing after auto-resolving addresses when composing new emails in outlook 2016.

i realized contacts in outlook.com stored in outlook 2016 default display field filled <email address> —which counter intuitive usage i'd rather have <full name> instead..

i saw vba macro or 3rd part tool mentioned in other part of forum new/future contacts create saved email display ,  this , not sustainable :(

@microsoft: option change ?

@community: chance missed 1 option change behavior ?

does happen contacts migrated outlook.com?

contacts migrated on outlook app came web mail server such outlook.com, skype, or gmail cannot edited in outlook app. contacts migrated these server copied outlook provide static view.

message deleted by transport agent, event: LED=550 4.3.2 - Microsoft Community
