Outlook 2016 does not delete emails and/or folders - Microsoft Community


windows 10, outlook 2016, imap emails delete on exit checked, not delete files have been deleted. shows files gone or folders empty, following exit , restart of outlook, deleted folders or emails reloaded (mysteriously).

hi,

for have better view of issue, please provide following information:

  • when did start having problem?
  • are getting error messages when performing action?
  • did make changes on computer prior issue?
  • what troubleshooting steps have done far?

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
