Weird symbols autotyped into forwarded emails - Microsoft Community


when forwarding email, , going edit text, following symbols auto-typed i'm editing: []

this looks type of notation identify changes text, don't know how turn off.

the symbol can formatting mark function guide assist layout.

to better assist you, please answer following questions:

  • are experiencing issue when using outlook app or outlook.com?
  • to know symbol showing, can send screenshot?
  • does symbol appears on printed message?

for outlook app, suggest checking article more information on how turn off formatting marks on outlook.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
