office version: 1705 (build 8117.1000 click-to-run)
windows version: pro insider 16193.rs_prerelease.170507-1300
still reading through many posts regarding having continually enter credentials no fix have found far, however, seems latest build microsoft outlook credentials window not presenting desktop. so, while entering credentials 50 times day, don't have spot enter credentials.
in taskbar, quick peek shows 2 outlook windows open credentials window not make desktop clicking it, alt-tab'ing it, nothing. since latest update, either office or windows insider has broken security feature. i believe credentials window supposed open in it's own desktop instance security purposes. before broke together, window used hide in background behind open apps, doesn't show anywhere taskbar. seems related multi-desktop feature in latest windows build, cannot sure.
the way outlook retrieve mail briefly close , re-open outlook. while works short period of time, cannot view or connect groups, sharepoint sites etc.

please try following see if works:
1.if using office 365 account, can try using sara tool diagnose , fix issues.
2.to identify if issue related add-ins, please start outlook in safe mode see if issue persists. (click start > run> type outlook.exe /safe> clickok.)
if works, try disabling add-ins see if works:
click file> options> add-ins> select “com add-ins” in manage drop-down> click go> uncheck add-ins not using> click ok.
3.make sure don’t have third-party add-ins/ antivirus applications installed may cause issue.
try performing clean boot in windows to check if works. this eliminate whether issue caused software conflicts.
if issue persists, i’d confirm following information narrow down issue:
- does issue happen after upgrade outlook version?
- which account using, office 365, outlook.com or others , how configured in outlook client, via exchange, pop/imap?
- except account, if configure test account in outlook, same issue happen?
- could provide more details symptom, screenshots or video?
