My Mac email account is no longer working in Outlook 2016 for Mac - Microsoft Community


had been using mac email account outlook 2016 mac until few days ago when started showing me dreaded "authentication failed....." message, prompting me repeatedly account name , password.  know both correct, have not changed them since problem started.  went ahead , deleted account , re-created hope of default settings problem but, did not trick.  nothing changed side keep me getting access account.  know potential solution?  did change in outlook precludes mac users accessing our mac email accounts?  suggestions appreciated.

this issue occurs may because of presence of duplicate tokens in keychain.  

launch /applications/utilities/keychain access , corresponding entry.

1. in search field in keychain access, enter exchange.
in search results, select each item view account that's listed @ top, , press delete. repeat step delete items exchange account.
2. in search field, enter adal.
select items type microsoftoffice15_2_data:adal:<guid>, , press delete.
3. in search field, enter office.
select items named microsoft office identities cache 2 , microsoft office identities settings 2, , press delete.
quit keychain access.

please let me know if works. if not, kindly share version of outlook. can try updating latest version 15.34 170515.
