Outlook 2010 Corruption while setting default mail account - Microsoft Community


while adding new outlook mail account, click on new account set default , program stopped responding , closed.  before closed neither account had check mark it.  when try to open outlook, get this error:

cannot open default e-mail folders.  outlook cannot start because data file send , receive messages cannot found.  says open user accounts , open mail.  show profiles, select profile, , click properties.

i tried advice. no luck. i tried uninstall , reinstall, didn't help.

i can't find way gain access configure data files.  assume configuration default file info in registry because when remove , reinstall info not lost.  appreciated.

this issue may occur due possible system conflict. found thread has same concern can use workaround. please refer anula d'souza's post on thread.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
