folks,
i have not been receiving email office 365/ outlook.mail 2 of 4 accounts. appears that, after having done research here in these community forums , microsoft's support website have reconnect outlook 2016 in order mail coming outlook.com work.
i did download , read microsoft's january 26, 2017 paper entitled "reconnect outlook 2016 or outlook 2013 outlook.com uninterrupted email access" not should do. i.e. delete entire profile or accounts within profile.
i have 1 profile use office 365/outlook send , receive mail 4 different accounts. 2 of them imap accounts on isp's server , 2 of them outlook.com accounts. when go control panel , select mail see 1 profile name (chris). under profile 4 email accounts use.
am required, in order "reconnect outlook" to delete existing profile, create new one, , reestablish/reinstall 4 email addresses? seems microsoft's guidance says want sure before that. loose mail in 4 accounts or only imap and/or outlook accounts, or none of above.
finally, .ost , .pst files. them up, rename them, delete them, or else.
enclosed picture of accounts taken control panel , subsequent menu choices.

you may want run pc in clean boot just sure no third party cause problem while working on profile.
