Moving email to folders after reading them. - Microsoft Community

i keep email  inbox uncluttered. i need keep replies , documents of these emails. after reading email want to move them folders have set in outlook.

most of time when go move email, message says "the operation cannot performed because message has been changed" or "cannot move items: operation cannot performed because message has been changed."

i message when have not "opened" , want move it.

there must setting can correct this. don't want them go automatically folder before can preview email.

sometimes, can move after have moved different email , went try again move it, , of time after have deleted items out of inbox. don't think 1 should have delete move else. of time, don't have delete, stuck it.

i hope has resolution. big frustration me.

within ms outlook, file>account settings>email tab....... each mail account type show set as

do have msg open or viewing in reading pane?

are using unread folder or actual inbox?

try rt click msg>move
