having issue, mine started after did osx update on brand new '16 macbook pro.
i tried archive of email , didn't make difference.

i understand have done archive step, , did not fix issue. please check if issue related high cpu usage on mac.
first try reproduce issue, follow these steps:
1. open activity monitor (finder > applications > utilities > activity monitor).
2. click cpu tab.
3. double-click microsoft outlook.
4. click sample process. to protect privacy, can share in this private message link.
5. the detailed outlook mac version, example 15.29 (170104). , mac os version.
