Created new Outlook profile - now my email rules are gone - Microsoft Community

using outlook 2016 in office 365 version 1703 (build 7967.2139)

i created new outlook profile , email rules had set gone , cannot create new rules. when open rules , alerts dialogue, "new rule" menu choice grayed , cannot click on it.  also, there used long list of rules below empty space.

1. how can old rules back?

2. how can create new rules?

any appreciated. thank you.

you need start off stating type of mail a/c pop, imap, hotmail or?

and reason creating new profile?
