Outlook 2016 issue sending messages; also attachments issue - Microsoft Community


i have user here @ school running sierra , outlook 2016 mac. when replies messages , clicks send, message sits there , gets spinning beachball. program gives not responding message , sits there. if waits, 5 min., message goes through. not happen time , activity monitor shows outlook using small resources.

second issue: when sends email attachment, attachment not show immediately. will, however, show after minute or two. if goes cloud mail, office365, email message show attachments.

any thoughts?

all of office apps date , running sierra, @ latest update.

these 2 issues related performance of outlook 2016 mac client. usually, kind of issues may occur when there large volume of messages in mailbox. so, please confirm whether user’s mailbox size large. if yes, move messages mail server computer or export old items , delete them outlook client.

 

if isn’t case, need information below troubleshoot first issue:

1. detailed versions of outlook mac client , mac os. example, outlook 2016 mac 15.32 (170309) , sierra 10.12.

2. what’s type of email account, exchange, pop, or imap? how many accounts have been configured on outlook client?

3. screenshot not responding page.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
