Setting up E-Mail Account 2016 - Microsoft Community

i have installed office 2016.  activated word installing serial key.  programs within office shows

activated.  don't know office because can't set up.

i had same problem 2013 after installed on same computer after had reformatted etc , reinstalled

windows 10.  gave on 2013 , bought 2016 , having same problem.

here problem:

i can not set e-mail account.  after enter e-mail set information when running test, - inbound test is

ok , checked off  but  following message outbound:

"the operation times out waiting response sending (smtp) server."

i have tried set account several times same results.  called internet service provider , he

does not know problem is.  able , send e-mails through michrosoft mail , epbfi.com e-mail

program know not computer problem within office.

hope can me solve problem , office program have working.

problem solved.

i called internet provider see why outbound server settings not right.

i had been  working person @ night , in fact settings wrong in 1 place.

this tech support person told me domain e-mail automatic not work because

it did not show outbound server settings correctly.  said had done lot of work on email with

outlook.

now far know applies domain.

you have manualy settings. 

what wrong in settings whre had check use same settings inound, you

have set bullet in "use same settings inbound outbound server"

we click , low , behold worked.

my internet domain epbfi.com , told me had do.
