Outlook 2016 - New email envelop notification - Microsoft Community

my client has installed oultook 2016 office 365 account.

- updated machines , outlook new email envelope notification stops working

- checked notifications setting enabled outlook

- checked skype 6.1 has uninstalled

- checked outlook application notification within application enable play sound, desktop alert -> none of alerts working

please help!

you might need enable settings on device notifications when receive new email messages outlook 2016. can try follow steps below resolve concern:

turn on or off alerts

1. on the file tab, choose options > mail.
2. under message arrival, select or clear the display desktop alert check box.
   
   note:to suppress other notifications such playing sounds, changing mouse pointer, or displaying envelope icon in taskbar, clear respective check boxes functions.
   
   
3. to change transparency of desktop alerts or how long they're visible, choose desktop alert settings.
   
   tip: if want keep desktop alert visible can take more time read it, rest pointer on alert before fades view.

desktop alert notifications don’t appear during initial synchronization of email account or when request manual send/receive.

also, if you're using message rules , new message moved out of default account inbox, might not receive desktop alert notification, or desktop alert notification might not appear full duration of time configured in settings desktop alerts feature.

turn on notification alert new messages in outlook  windows 10:

1. press windows key.
2. click settings icon , select system.
3. click notifications & actions.
4. make sure get notifications apps , other senders turned on under notifications.
5. click outlook 2016 under show notifications these senders , make sure turn on.
