Outlook Error: sorry we can't make this update because there - Microsoft Community

i running os x el capitan, 10.11.6.

i on office 2011, 14.5.6.  my outlook 14.7.1

my microsoft outlook account used work fine until 2 days ago. (01/05/17).   now, when open microsoft outlook account, not connect office365 server.  instead following message:  

sorry can't make update because there problems account. fix account, try signing in again.

this message comes repeatedly; on , over.  even though type in correct password.  i tried re-booting; tried changing password.   (when type in incorrect password microsoft outlook error message read:  "authentication failed.... incorrect password, etc.)  so know not password issue; reading correct password. 

most interesting;   sporadically able connect , use microsoft outlook.  what mean this morning, connection service fine; there no error message. , outlook worked fine.  but several hours since then, continual errors messages.  same thing yesterday, few intermittent  times work. 

my other microsoft office products, word , excel, work fine. there fixes this? 

had same issue, , found post on different thread yesterday.  worked me.  here advice followed:

"i had follow step make work again:

1. make sure have quitted outlook , other office apps. go keychain access
2. search “exchange” under login –> items , delete everything 
3. search “office” , delete everything 
4. search “adal” , delete  
5. launch outlook"
