Contact Notes from Shared Contact in Outlook Encrypted - Microsoft Community

been having issue while.  a user's contact notes not getting decrypted outlook on accounts share contacts.  the user sharing created contacts on mac version of office , being shared on windows versions of outlook.  can't seem find information on reason happening nor fix.  below example of looks like.  any suggestions?

i understand user shared his/her contacts outlook windows you. , when open it, cannot check normal notes, notes seem encrypted.

to troubleshoot issue, first suggest confirm user if he/she use encryption methods share contact.

then, if he/she cannot decrypt contact note, confirm following information can test on our side:

1. did user share contact based on methods in this article?

    if yes, permission did he/she delegate you, method did he/she use?

    if not, please provide detailed steps he/she shared contacts in outlook windows.

2. use office 365 business account? if yes, belong same organization user shared contacts you?

3. did user share contact group or share individual contacts? every contacts's notes encounter same issue?

4. how did open contacts in outlook mac 2011? please share detailed steps.

5. the version of outlook mac 2011. example, version 14.7.1 (170107). can check following steps:  

1. click on menu labeled outlook (next apple logo in top left corner of screen).
2. click outlook.
