since different users have different scenario, please first try following check outcome:
1.ensure office mac date.
2.start mac in safe mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht201262.
3.you may try create new account.
meanwhile, i’d confirm following information further investigation:
1.do other office mac applications have same issue?
2.your powerpoint mac version.
3.your mac os version.
4.if issue can reproduced, please share detailed steps repro steps.
