Trouble re-ordering animations on PowerPoint slide - Microsoft Community

have noted animations not allow me change order in occur.  the "move earlier" , "move later" controls grayed out.  i can't use re-order controls nor can use dragging method change order of animations.  help?

to change order of animation in powerpoint 2016, please follow these steps:

1. click object on slide animation effects want reorder.
2. on the animations tab, click animation pane.
3. in the animation pane, click , hold animation effect want move, , drag or down new position.
