Redirecting to server -- new Outlook account setup - Microsoft Community


i started seeing a popup box wanting to redirect outlook server adr20.myoutlookonline.com.

i asked here this, tagging onto question user aturnercpa, chris peng had responded.  assured redirect safe.  did so, whereupon outlook began crashing every 3 minutes.  asking solution issues, monique suggested long list of steps, followed down 1 creating new profile.  can no longer access thread reason.

in event, trying set new profile, without success.  process works point of making contact email server, when dialog box asks sign-in.  box titled mail application, , includes user picture.  username box filled in "microsoftaccount\*** email address removed privacy ***"  (my email account).  microsoft password not work here.  did have two-step authentication, went security page , got app password, didn't work either.  turned off two-step authentication, doesn't work either.

what's next?

before you go https://account.live.com/names/manage , make sure your account ending in microsoft domain marked the primary account.

what domain of account adding e.g. @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @msn.com, etc.?

also, double check have 2 step auth turned off, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12408/microsoft-account-about-two-step-verification.  outlook work app password try , past point.
