Filename directive of Content-Disposition header doesn't work for - Microsoft Community

we have application(java based web application) works document repository. stores ms office documents too. application has deep links allows opening document stored in repository. deep link takes document id parameter. while writing http response, application uses "filename" directive of "content-disposition" header pass filename against file should opened/saved. works fine when link triggered using browser. but, when link embedded inside ms office document , if targeted document ms office document, feature doesn't work. seems ms office ignores 'filename' directive. if so, there other ways can pass suggested filename?

we tried updating application handle requests coming ms office , forcing ms office open links through browser. but, approach caused issues dependent applications. so, that's not alternative.
