Outlook for Mac 2016 - I have a big message stuck in Outbox - How do I - Microsoft Community


i have large message stuck in outbox prevents send of new emails.

in particular version of outlook outbox becomes visible during send.   won't send outbox never becomes visible.   outlook useless.

this on mac.

help please.

to clear outbox, recommended try steps below:

  • click the outlook menu> work offline;
  • create test email , try send it. should make outbox visible;
  • click outbox display pending outgoing messages. edit or delete messages large attachments;
  • if can’t delete message, please search subject follow steps above find , remove it.

if above don’t work, please provide outlook mac client version details , mac os version details further analysis.

that got me outbox.  then found problem not expected.    instead email incorrectly formatted address (it contained  ..) causing blockage.   coincidentally had sent me huge email , "toobig" error due this.

hello i know others have posted error, not recently, , not outlook 2016. have imap account. so receiving number of errors in synchronization logs (800ccc0f-0-0-560 , 8004df03-0-0-560). appears draft folder thats causing issue. however, there nothing saved in draft folder in outlook or webmail client. i have talked 4 different microsoft tech support people. have repaired office, repaired pst file, created new outlook data file, turned off antivirus, subscribed/unsubscirbed folders (though cant unsubscribe drafts). any ideas? hi weiss, you may getting errors due permissions in outlook. let's see if changing root folder make difference when syncing mail. follow these steps: open outlook. click on file . go account settings . select account settings . click on change . select more settings . go advanced . enter inbox as root folder path . click ok . restart outlook. let know if steps allow aroun...
