Outlook 2016 on Win 10 keeps disconnecting from my hotmail account - Microsoft Community


hi,

i have outlook 2016 on windows 10. trying use hotmail account. after setting account, after few minutes, says disconnected. restart outlook, says disconnected. hour or 2 later randomly reconnects few mins , disconnects again. send/receive nothing. have tried have read on site:

-create new profile , resetup account (did multiple times)

-change settings keep 1 month of data offline

-run sfc /scannow

-turn off norton internet security

-even reinstalled windows scratch.

another issue might related, have added hotmail account outlook several times far , few times cannot add it. gets stuck on 'searching <myemail> settings". takes few tries added.

i can access hotmail fine outlook app on iphone, using win 10 mail app , through outlook.com not outlook 2016.

can please help?

to address concern outlook 2016. suggest install office configuration analyzer tool provide detailed report of installed office programs. report includes many parameters office program configuration. highlights known problems found when offcat scans computer. may follow instructions on link.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
