Email account - Microsoft Community


hi,
i'm using windows 7 home premium , office 2010. when seting new email acount @ outlook , testing new email account got following message: "send email message test: server answered:  554 5.7.1"
cannot send or receive emails , don't know how solve this.

1 of reasons why you're getting error due incorrect mail account settings. let's check outlook account settings:

  1. select file > account settings > account settings drop-down option.
  2. click more settings > outgoing server.
  3. make sure there check mark on my outgoing server requires authentication , use same settings incoming mail server.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
