Outlook 2016 search function trouble - Microsoft Community

i using outlook 2016 mac, part of suite office 2016 home , business mac.

when enter search function, whether 1 folder or "all mail," typing in word or name, outlook returns "no results." not matter word or name. when enter name know contained in emails, outlook still returns "no results." not matter filter used, including "item contains," result same--"no results."
