Outlook 365 - Sending Error 0x800CCC78 - Microsoft Community


i using outlook 365 (listed version 15.0.4885.1001), pop/smtp, , have no trouble receiving emails, cannot send. can still send browser access, , problem has occurred today (with no changes anti-virus software, usage habits or software). error message displayed below:

task *** email address removed privacy *** - sending' reported error (0x800ccc78) : 'cannot send message. verify e-mail address in account properties.  the server responded: 535 5.7.8 [tpg-a02] authentication denied. user *** email address removed privacy *** banned using smtp auth due previous abuse'

Sync Error: 800CCC0F-0-0-560 and 8004DF03-0-0-560 - Microsoft Community

hello i know others have posted error, not recently, , not outlook 2016. have imap account. so receiving number of errors in synchronization logs (800ccc0f-0-0-560 , 8004df03-0-0-560). appears draft folder thats causing issue. however, there nothing saved in draft folder in outlook or webmail client. i have talked 4 different microsoft tech support people. have repaired office, repaired pst file, created new outlook data file, turned off antivirus, subscribed/unsubscirbed folders (though cant unsubscribe drafts). any ideas? hi weiss, you may getting errors due permissions in outlook. let's see if changing root folder make difference when syncing mail. follow these steps: open outlook. click on file . go account settings . select account settings . click on change . select more settings . go advanced . enter inbox as root folder path . click ok . restart outlook. let know if steps allow aroun...
