Office 2016 - Microsoft Community

i work in doctors office , had have new computer installed.  came windows 10 (which hate! have no need or desire 'apps' , movies , games in office setting) , office 2016 (previously has office 2010).  still getting used office 2016, there 2 huge stumbling blocks have come across --

the 1st being "colour" of standard fonts type of grey i.e. not true black.  looks washed out , extremely difficult read!  how true black font on everything? 

that brings me 2nd issue size of font in office 2016 platforms -- far small (so small getting headaches trying read it); yet if try change resolution of monitor enlarge font, else outside of office suite becomes massive.  font size of document working on can (obviously) changed in settings, actual ribbon fonts small. 

also, in outlook 2016, how emphasize 'from' rather other part of each individual email?  blend , have distinguishable feature in 'from' category.  have tried going view-view settings-format columns (which not columns way, rather 'rows'!), or conditional formatting, , other possible settings, can't find anywhere customize on outlook.  have type of gridline separating each email in list (or borders, or something!) again, separate each email.  presently blend , not stand out on own.  please let me know if there somewhere these can done.
