this has happened after update , fed chatting desk after hour said, new problem, fix being developed, wait email.

any way rid of update?

what's point stating same problem multiple times no solution?

we recommend perform workaround provided same article, since issue still exists after installing latest update windows 10 , office 365.

workaround

until windows update fix release on 6/27, can set registry key cause outlook stop using local windows search service. when registry key set, outlook use own built-in search engine. built-in search display message below indicate not using windows search service.

disable windows desktop search service outlook:

note: the following steps show how modify registry. however, serious problems might occur if modify registry incorrectly. please make sure follow these steps carefully. added protection, registry before modify it. then, can restore registry if problem occurs. more information how , restore registry, see article.

  • open registry editor.

  • go to: computer\hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\windows\windows search

  • preventindexingoutlook

  • set dword: 1

detailed instructions:

  1. click start, click run, type regedit in open box, , click ok.

  2. locate , click following subkey in registry:
    hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\windows

  3. on edit menu, point new, , click new key and name key windows search.

  4. click on new key windows search.

  5. on edit menu, point new, , click dword value.

  6. type preventindexingoutlook name of dword, , press enter.

  7. right-click preventindexingoutlook, , click modify.

  8. in value data box, type 1 enable registry entry, , click ok.

  9. note disable preventindexingoutlook setting, type 0 (zero), , click ok.

  10. exit registry editor, , restart outlook.

should still encounter difficulties after performing steps, update us.
