Windows 7 "Send to mail recipient" reverts .xlsx to .xls - Microsoft Community


hello,

we have few workstations have started behave incorrectly when trying send file attachment through windows context menu ("send -> mail recipient"). files in .xlsx format when appear attachment in email, file type has somehow reverted .xls format.

this not big deal since attaching files "manually" when composing new message works should have users have grown accustomed using "send mail recipient" -method. software in use windows 7 64-bit , office 2010 32-bit. problem occurred few months ago without major changes workstations besides windows updates (not office updates).

we need more information isolate issue, please answer following:

  • what document trying send?
  • are getting error message when sending email?

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community
