using outlook 2016 pop access.  is there way prevent downloading messages older 30 days or whatever number of days choose? my reason if needed... have been using pop access single email address on multiple computers.  we have imap access still getting straight not sure if else wants switch imap (dont have convince me, want imap!).  i found our pop account had option set delete messages older 30 days.  so when log webmail version, older stuff gone.  i found since have downloaded through pop, manually drag , drop older messages imap inbox , go up!  the problem this, redownload these messages duplicated pop inbox again, several years worth , on everyones computer.  is possible , have not redownload through pop? basically no. a pop mail a/c downloads mail server unless set option keep copy on server on pc's use pop account. doing doing copies old mail server, downloaded again on ever...

i've used "search inbox" in outlook 2010  for years without issues.  -  around june 12th, 2017 (± 2 or 3 days?)  noticed when searched inbox (or email folder), list or results not narrowed emails containing keywords.  in fact, list wasn't reduced @ all.   -  note seems have occurred right after recent windows 10 update. -  observed that it still highlights keyword in emails; but of no value me, because it means have go through subject/ and/or body of thousands of emails, , highlighted keyword.  -  in job, required keep documentation many years; therefore have thousands of emails have organized in various folders, , i send , receive on average 100 emails day.....so not being able narrow search results major issue in doing job.   this major productivity killer , affects ability job.  quick & timely help on this will...
