Outlook 2016 slow on new Macbook Pro (touchpad) - Microsoft Community


i have new macbook pro (touchpad, i7-processor) oulook client slow. takes 5-10 seconds open mail, switch between calendar , mail etc.

anyone got idea on do?

common reason lead slow performance large volume of messages or multiple imap or exchange accounts in 1 outlook client. in case, please let me know size of each account in outlook mac.

if size big, try move messages these mailbox folders folder on computer, , empty deleted items folder, synchronization may faster.

furthermore, please check if have enable logging in outlook, may affect performance of outlook. on window menu>click sync errors > action(gear icon)>clear turn on logging troubleshooting.

if above don’t help, please tell me information below:
1. account using now? office 365 or outlook.com?
2. method used set mailboxes. via exchange or imap/pop?
3. symptom happen or @ beginning of using outlook?
4. there error message or sync error? if so, please share screenshots of them.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
