Encryption Error - Microsoft Community

hi,

i using microsoft outlook 2016 , facing problem when encrypting mail. please me.

microsoft outlook cannot sign or encrypt message because there no certificates can used send email address *** email address removed privacy ***'. either new digital id use account, or use accounts button send message using account have certificates for.

hi nikhil,

there number of reasons why encountered encryption error when encrypting email. due certificate conflict or corrupt certificates in outlook. let's check trust center settings in outlook performing following steps:

1. in outlook, click file.
2. choose options.
3. select trust center, click trust center settings.
4. go email security. check if following options unchecked:
   • encrypt content , attachments outgoing messages.
   • add digital signatures outgoing messages
5. go trusted publisher, delete digital signatures may appear in list.
6. relaunch outlook.

once done, please check if can encrypt , open email.
