i'm using outlook 15.31 on macos sierra 10.12.3 (as of date of post, these latest versions). ms's list of keyboard shortcuts outlook 2016 (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-for-outlook-2016-for-mac-07ae68c8-b7af-4010-b225-324c04ac7335) gives following shortcut restricting search current folder:
search current folder | option + + f |
however i've found that, when use this, searches folders, regardless of folder i'm in. indeed, results no different cmd-shift-f.
is there working shortcut "search current folder"? yes, using advanced search can manually restrict search, don't want have steps needed accomplish that. [plus it's tricky this, because way folders labeled in "choose folder" submenu in advanced search different how they're labeled in sidebar.]
hi theorist9,
understand concerned , reported related teams. i’d explain default view of outlook mac doesn’t show “search” tab. when use “command+option+f”, “search” tab shows up. , cannot customize button displayed. furthermore, need click “current folder” button if want search current folder only.
given situation, suggest submit feedback via link:

alison
