outlook has exhausted shared resources please close messaging applications , restart outlook (example skype business)

hello,

looks encountering challenges on launching outlook.

there several reasons why encountering issue. have here series of methods can perform start off troubleshooting process.

method 1: safe mode

starting microsoft office windows application in office safe mode can allow safely use when has encountered problems. refer support article on how to: open office apps in safe mode on windows pc.

method 2: repair office

if office application such word or excel isn’t working correctly, restarting fix problem. if doesn’t work, can try repairing it. refer support article on how to: repair office application.

method 3: check updates

keeping office up-to-date ensures have latest security updates , fixes. refer support article on how to: install office updates.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
