how to assign a color category to a calendar event in Outlook - Microsoft Community


your previous answers post doesn't resolve issue. outlook 2016 has changed imap/smtp , cannot add colour category calendar events.  have tried change pop dosnt work. suggestions?

hello,

please informed imap doesn’t support color categories. if using imap account, not possible color categorize contacts , calendar. since feature disabled in outlook 2016, can suggest submit request reinstate categories feature. enable our developers see options our customers likes most. can provide feedback using feedback hub built in on windows 10. if using windows 10, can find feedback app typing windows feedback on start menu.

on other hand, can check if can change email imap pop. within ms outlook, select file > account settings > email tab > add new mail account.  in next auto set page can see @ bottom part, need pop settings given provider.
