Powerpoint timings and animation duration - Microsoft Community

i'm using timings audio first time , it's going fabulously. however, notice when have slides involve animations such replacing series of graphics in sequence, overall timing gets messed up.  it comes out longer should, means slide sits static several seconds after audio complete.

in attempting trouble shoot, able determine delay i'm experiencing precisely net total amount of transition duration involved in animations.  if have 3 animations initiated click , each has duration of 1 second, when viewing result slide delayed 3 seconds relative time clicked advance slide.

if change each of duration values 2 seconds, slide delayed 6 seconds.  hence, i'm pretty sure has this. apparently haven't ability change duration of animations none (instantaneous) lowest value available in drop down .5s.

i can't set them "with" , time them out using individual delay settings either, delay seemingly limited 60 seconds per slide , audio typically longer that.

if attempt reduce overall presentation time slide via transitions tab (as learned online) see no effect.  i'm pretty sure overall time being calculated sum of time between individual clicks , duration of transitions.  but, transitions part of time between individual clicks , therefore should not impact overall time slide displayed.  well, unless i'm misunderstanding intent.

whatever case, i'm unable rehearse show , play intended.  only slides contain animations concern.  any recommendations?  is possible access individual times between animation clicks on given slide , alter them manually?  i see overall time slide.  i'm close.  i hope can discover solution.
