Restore accounts, categories, rules and other settings after reinstall - Microsoft Community


i reinstalled windows , oultook.

now need configure again 5 email accounts, set rules , set categories again (i know it's possible manually export rules)??

please tell me not in 90s ,  my settings somewhere saved , when login microsoft account, take there , restore settings.. 

i didn't find till now, wanted confirm before spent hours on re-configuring again..

this depends on types of email accounts , rules. example, don’t need reset categories , rules if account type exchange , rules server rules. otherwise, need reset them because haven’t them before reinstalling windows , outlook client.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
