Outlook 2013 Search Issue after "Patch Tuesday" - Microsoft Community


consider following scenario:

 

  1. you searching contact in outlook 2013 “search people” box in ribbon.
  2. the contact searching not have name, company – such “enterprise rent-a-car”
  3. you type in “enterprise” , search finds no results
  4. you type in “en” or “en” , “enterprise” contact listed.
  5. you type in “ent” or “ent” , contact drops off drop down search result list, , search list goes “no results”

in other words, contact indexed , searchable, entering more 2 characters company name causes search fail. 

in outlook 2013, if search “enterprise” while in contacts search contacts box (not search people box), contact found expected.

 

can else reproduce this? can ticket submitted has ability so?

there similar issues in outlook 2016.

this issue first presented following past tuesday's (june 13) security update outlook.

  1. does issue persists when attempt search in outlook 2013 using device?
  2. does happen in particular word or same every searchable content in outlook 2013 application?
  3. are there add-ins installed on outlook app?

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
