Outlook Email Copies to Folder Instead of Move - Microsoft Community


my email outlook 2016 not move folders, copies.  when try click , drag client email prospective folder, copy, therefore remaining in inbox.  therefor, inbox remains full , cluttered.  i move emails organize , them out of general inbox.  

any suggestions?

at point copying email ~only way move out of inbox folder.

i able delete original in inbox additional step should not necessary. type of action worked fine on windows 7 machine.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
