hi nicholas,
according description, search function not works on outlook mac 2011 client.
try rebuilding spotlight index on mac. here steps:
1. choose apple menu > system preferences, click spotlight.
2. click privacy tab.
3. drag folder or disk want index again list of locations spotlight prevented searching. or click add (+) button , select folder or disk add.
4. same list of locations, select folder or disk added. click remove (–) button remove list.
5. quit system preferences. spotlight reindex contents of folder or disk.
note: depending on mac , contents of hard disk, re-indexing may take several hours days. until process finished, spotlight won’t know contents of disks , neither outlook. lists contacts, events, notes etc. generated spotlight searches.
if still can’t search on outlook mac 2011 client, please provide following information us:
1. detailed version of outlook client.
2. can use built-in search function search emails?
3. see error message when search in outlook client? if yes, please provide screenshot analysis.
regards,
barry
