Outlook / Reply or Reply All - Microsoft Community


i have strange issue outlook 2016 not know how search (and yes have attempted). appreciated. 

when email in outlook 2016, , using shortcuts ctrl+r or ctrl+shift+r reply, 50% of attempts opens reply window , closes it. if i'm fast enough type word or 2 , in case create draft , close window, else close it. 

it's driving me crazy because makes email "as read" , moves somewhere in inbox , takes me time find again (if not go draft of course). 

i not use mouse lot, when same thing (maybe not because did not pay attention it, know happens). 

does have same problem? solutions this?

  • when did issue first occur?
  • does issue occur when try use outlook.com through web?
  • did you try launch outlook application , try if encounter issue? launch outlook in safe mode kindly press windows+r , type outlook /safe , click ok.

we suggest install latest office updates ensure have latest security updates.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
