Outlook 2016 with Office 365 folder ordering issues. - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have users have shared mailbox in additions own mailbox in outlook 2016, connected office365.

the folders within shared mailbox can re-ordered dragging, clicking 'up','down' or choosing sort. issue every time email comes in inbox jumps down list instead of staying @ top want.

i have tried.

moving folder in many different ways, switching of alphabetic ordering. doing /cleanviews /resetnavpane switches.

i have recreated profiles scratch, check order within owa (it's fine, inbox correctly @ top). same on multiple user pc , annoying.

i can't think of else try?

anyone ideas?  is outlook broken?

thanks.

hi dave,

please check whether following steps work you:
1.    click “file”> “account settings”> “email”> select default mailbox> change> “advanced”> unselect “download shared folder”.
2.    sort folders (inbox folder) of shared mailbox right order (the inbox folder on top).
3.    restart outlook client.

regards,
alan
