Outlook 2016 draft auto-save causes Outlook to crash - Microsoft Community


about 1 in 5 of emails compose end crashing outlook, appears when tries save draft. i'm not writing complex emails or attaching anything, replying multiple people reply all, typing text, , outlook turns grey , restarts. 

specific steps:

environment - outlook 2016 on 365 exchange , windows 10

1. on 2nd display outlook running , click reply on email

2. click pop-out , begin typing email on primary display

3. @ point while drafting, believe after time divisible 3 minute draft save, draft save fails , outlook says must restart. 

4. draft @ least 3 minutes old or have no draft if crashed on first draft save

at point draft doing more harm good, silly.

  • when did concern started happening?
  • what version of office 2016? (home, professional, or business)
  • do encounter same concern when running outlook in safe mode?
  • have performed troubleshooting steps?

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
