Emails not receiving on laptop (but seen elsewhere) - Microsoft Community


hi there.

i have outlook on windows 8 laptop.

i have added imap account, added pertinent information mail servers, correct.

except no emails come through, despite outlook saying has connected correctly. there no error messages.

all settings same on phone, , receive emails there, laptop goes through motions, doesn't download anything.

i have turned phone off, make sure not downloading files before laptop version of outlook can see them.

i have logged server directly check there emails in there. there plenty.

but outlook refuses either (a) recognise there or (b) recognise should downloaded.

we know more concern. please answer following:

  • when did first encounter issue?
  • were able receive emails before?
  • are having issues outlook.com or outlook mail app?
  • which version of outlook using?
  • any changes took place in computer before issue occurred?

please respond can assist further.

Outlook Rules not Running Automatically - Microsoft Community

i have 3 rules in outlook 2013 installation set when email arrives check words in body, subject or header.  the rules not seem run automatically.  when run rules manually seem work fine.  i've had problem quite while.  recently, created new outlook profile did not fix issue.  i went , changed srs file srs.old did not fix either. please provide me suggestions fix. hi neil, in order isolate issue, we'd following information: have made recent changes or applied update device prior issue? which email account using? personal email account or work email account? for initial troubleshooting, suggest deleting rules , create again. this, may refer article below: manage email messages using rules looking forward response.
