hi all,
i know there's multiple posts regarding answers aren't satisfactory environment. process numbers of documents day , save desktop -> unblock doesn't cut it, nor disabling protected view recent ransomware nhs received (security needs remain intact). message states: 'cannot open or save more documents because there not enough available memory or disk space' -> though performing either 2 of above solutions fixes (its not memory, stupid message if i'm honest). however, need able open file in protected view, not error. has been able fix 'properly' yet? if please let me know can implement business wide. have found gpe settings in user config -> windows components -> attachment manager not been able correct issue.
thanks

hi rhys,
did behavior start occur after recent upgrade windows 10 or after upgrade office 2016?
one of issues contributing displaylink driver issue.
one way confirm
- turn on protected view
- disable hardware graphics acceleration unchecking setting under
options - > advanced - > display - >“disable hardware graphics acceleration"
if driver issue, more details on fix can found here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2016-word/fixed-11516-excel-word-or-outlook-problems-caused/6305c25e-b855-4621-8936-978f0d5dec91
